DAY 1
Arrival in Pamplona . Step into the timeless elegance of the legendary Grand Hotel La Perla, a five-star jewel once frequented by Hemingway himself. After your travels, the day is yours to unwind—stretch out, soak in the old-world charm, and let the rhythms of Spain calibrate your senses.

DAY 2
Start the day slowly with a leisurely breakfast in the hotel’s grand dining room, as the city wakes around you. Late morning, you'll meet the Camino Awakening team and set off on a curated walking tour of Pamplona—its medieval walls, hidden chapels, and vibrant plazas opening up with
stories of pilgrims past.
As twilight falls, we gather for an unforgettable kickoff dinner at one of Pamplona’s acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurants. Over plates of exquisite local cuisine and glasses of Rioja, a Camino historian will guide us through the epic story of the Way of Saint James—and what lies ahead.

DAY 3
Our Camino begins in earnest as we leave Pamplona in the early morning hours and climb toward Alto del Perdón—“The Hill of Forgiveness”—where wind turbines and the iconic pilgrim sculpture stand watch over sweeping valleys. With each step, the noise of the modern world fades. We descend through golden fields and timeless villages, arriving in the medieval town of Puente la Reina to cross its legendary 11th-century bridge and settle in for a peaceful evening of rest and reflection.
Distance walking: 25km/15.6 miles

DAY 4
After breakfast, we walk a few kilometers, then tackle the steep ascent of Mañeru before continuing on to the picturesque hilltop village of Cirauqui, where traces of an ancient Roman road still guide the way. From there, we pass olive groves en route to the village of Estella. Nestled along the Ega River, this historic town welcomes us with gothic churches and elegant plazas. We settle in for a restful evening and a dinner of local Navarra cuisine.
Distance walking: 24km/15 miles

DAY 5
Today’s walk is peaceful and meditative, passing through ancient farmlands and sunlit woodlands. Along the way, we visit the famous Irache Wine Fountain, a centuries-old tradition where pilgrims are offered wine as a symbolic blessing for their journey. This unique fountain, established by the nearby monastery, has welcomed travelers for generations, inviting them to pause, refresh, and share in the spirit of hospitality. As the landscape opens to golden fields, we arrive at the rustic village of Los Arcos, welcomed by the spire of Santa María Church. The evening offers time to rest or gather under the stars for quiet conversation.
Distance walking: 23km/14.4 miles

DAY 6
Our final full day on the Camino feels triumphant. We pass the striking octagonal church in Torres del Río and the historic hilltop town of Viana before crossing into La Rioja, one of Spain’s most renowned wine regions. By afternoon, we reach the lively city of Logroño as true pilgrims—weathered, lighter, and awakened. That evening, we celebrate with a tapas crawl along Calle del Laurel, where every bite and glass of Rioja marks the journey’s joy.
Distance walking: 28km/17.5 miles

DAY 7
With the 100km Camino behind us, we shift gears and embrace a slower rhythm, beginning the day with a short drive north of Logroño to the iconic Marqués de Riscal estate—honored in 2024 as the world’s best vineyard and the crown jewel of Europe’s wine country. There, we’re treated to an unforgettable immersion: wandering through 500 hectares of sun-soaked vines, touring the avant-garde bodegas, and savoring some of the most acclaimed wines on earth. After the tour, we make our way to the bold architectural wonder of the Hotel Marqués de Riscal, where you’ll unwind over the next two nights in serene, luxurious comfort. Our journey culminates with a celebratory dinner at the estate’s flagship restaurant, where three-Michelin-starred chef Francis Paniego crafts an evening of culinary brilliance that’s nothing short of extraordinary.

DAY 8
Enjoy a free day to reconnect with colleagues, indulge in unhurried relaxation, or simply savor the luxury of doing nothing at all. As part of your final night at the vineyard, all meals at the hotel are included, along with full access to the award-winning SPA Vinothérapie® Caudalie. Unwind with a complimentary vinotherapy massage—our gift to you—as you soak in the tranquility of this remarkable experience.
